Create a poll
What sort of poll do you want to create? There are 3 main types - click which one you want below. Further down the page is a more detailed description and an example layout for each.

Standard poll
This has up to 20 options, with only one being chosen. If wanted you can add an image to some or all of the options, either just to illustrate them (if, for example, you want someone to choose their favourite celebrity - having a picture might help), or if the options are something very visual (such as if you're trying to decide which photo of yourself is best). Images get resized to 300x225 at most. It'll be laid out like this:

Rate something
This will most often consist primarily of an image (images get resized to 500x275 at most), but there's no reason it couldn't be a link or some text - anything you can think of really! Rather than options you choose yourself, the voting options are simply the numbers 1-10 for people to pick a rating.

The results page shows the average score, with a link to show the ratings in more detail if wanted, so you can see if an average score of 5.5 is because everyone's voted 5 and 6, or because everyone's voted 1 and 10.

Ranked list
This is a list of up to 20 entries, and people sort them in order of preference. Rather than the standard poll, which might let people choose their single favourite Star Wars movie, this one asks people to order all six, then the full list is submitted. If wanted you can add an image to some or all of the options - images get resized to 300x225 at most.
